Hello,

Anyone planning on going to 4 Wheel Parts Saturday night of the Jamobree?

I have been put in charge of the rock crawl this year. We are going to have the rock crawl benefit one of my fellow compeitors charity that is backed by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware which is the Crawl to Cure Cancer. (see more at www.crawltocurecancer.com )

Since the family events jamobree isn't having a rockcrawl this year, we currently are trying to judge interst in having a organized rock crawl contest saturday night on our course. Over the years the course has gotten tougher and tougher and with some nice cone placement it could be very challenging.

Current ideas are to have either 2 or 3 classes. Plan 1 has mod stock (36" and under) and unlimited (as it say, unlimited) and plan 2 has mod stock (35" and under, full body, etc), a pro mod (36"-40") and an unlimited. We will be scoring it like a WEROCK event where cones, reversals, rear steer, spotter strap, and out of bounds will get you points where progression and possibly bonus lines will get you negatives. We will have 10 minutes allowed on a course. Again, this is all just an idea, but we are thinking of having the entry fee for the competition be $50 with $25 going to charity and $25 to the purse with other vendor donated prizes (set of shocks, winch, tube fenders) as added prizes. With all that you will recieve 2 to 4 passes on the rocks each scored and a different course and direction.

We are also looking at having an "exhibition" class that will have no prizes or scoring but will let you test your junk on the rocks for a $10 dollar donation.

So what do you all think? Would there be interest?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Sounds good. If I make it down to Jambo this year I will be there.
Where that hell have you been? Are you back to working at 4WheelParts?

no, I work at McDonalds now

I've been doing some wheeling over the summer... check out www.werocklive.com

And yes MOJO will be doing the majority of the parking lot fun with the cooking and other events. Huge thanks in advance for them helping out.

We would love to but our limited space makes it a big safety issue.

We can however only control what happens on our property. Traditionally, not authorized or organzied by 4 wheel parts, there have been sever pulls in the shopping plaza parking lots across the street from the store.

I think the rock crawl idea is awesome, a couple of years ago when we went over there and messed around that was a blast...

can't make it again this year as we'll be in Colorado for the XRRA Nationals...

mac 'rock crawlin has too many rules :) ' gyvr
