Need information on how to change body mounts on an 94 s10 blazer. Or just basic info on how to change body mounts. And what tools I will need.
Thanks for all the help.

I would guess you just need the right socket for the bolts, a floor jack, and a couple blocks of wood.

depends on how you are doing it. I am guessing this is being done because the holes have rusted out and are too big. You can find a washer with the right size hole and weld it on place. Or weld heavy sheetmetal or plate in place a drill the desired hole. Or fab a complete new mount. Or source some mounts off of a parts truck and cut the old ones out and weld the new in place.

Yeah...what he said...unless you're talking about the cab part of the body mounts...then you sould buy new sheetmetal kits from JC Whitney and weld them in place of the old rusty ones....

Body mounts that are welded to the frame? or body mounts welded to the body? There are kinda two "types" of body mounts...if they're frame mounts, i'd say support the body with a couple jacks and boards...then cut the old away from the frame (torch or grinder) then fab up som simple ones out of like 1/4" plate...just two triangles for the sides and a rectangle top with the proper size hole in it at the correct location. If they're the body side....i think it'd be easier to get a replacement kit from JC Whitney because they're all prebent and made for your vehicle....should be pretty easy to cut the old rusty ones away and weld in the new ones.

I think he means the rubber bushing in between the mounts has rotted away.

oh, in that case, a jack, some wrenches, probably some PB blaster and some small chucks of 2x4s, and a breaker bar, and maybe a length of pipe...

yeah, i come in all different sizes...
What kennedy said...shouldn't take more than a few hand tools, a peice of pipe (big enough to fit over your breaker bar handle to act as a cheater extension) and PB blaster a.k.a. Penetrating oil.
