It'll hold up. Its not that great of a unit, but it'll hold up. You could always do a Lincoln Lock or Millermatic Locker in it, I believe thats what Chuck did.

don't you mean there's no lunchbox locker for it? A full carrier locker such as detroit or ARB would work wouldnt it?

go to the junk yard and get an open carrier outta one for super cheap...then get the Detroit for it, I think I paid $340 for mine, but that was about 6 years ago, they are probably closer to $400 now.
The Detroit for those actually looks like a Lunchy 'cuz the stock carrier is beefy enough to handle the stress....all you replace is the spider gears and the cross shaft

Yeah, i've got a lincoln in mine :-D Just watch for warping when you're welding it...i was a retard and didn't pay any attention...so i had to grind down one of my pins to get my case back together...i think it'll still hold up though...

Weld an inch on one side, then an in on opposing side, let cool, repeat. I will NEVER recomend a gov lok to anybody. I've had two of them come through the diff cover in a high stress situation. Yes. I said THROUGH the diff cover. Two of them.

Ever think that part of your problem could have been that the axle isn't made to have two of them in there....

Now that is a classic.

We welded the one on my MJ. Sandman loves to get the welder out to play anytime he has an excuse. Errr I mean he'd never weld anything that doesn't have to be lol
