I have the 8.25 ( shouldnt matter)

when i have it on stands on the rear. and lift up on the wheel i can feel it clunk going up.. both sides but the passenger side is worse..

shoudl there be any play?

also i can move it laterally ( in and out) a bit too.

i have a clunk in the rear and am trying to find where its at... i was thinking bushings but now i wonder if its bearings.

In and out is OK up and down is not so good. Outer wheel bearings are a very good possibility. Do you see any oil or other residue coming out of the seal or down the backing plates?
