I think we all need to plan on going next year so if we start saving our pennies,we can all go. How long does it take to get there from here? I was stationed at Ft.Lewis,WA and I miss all those trails/mountains

Computer says 1505 miles. Depends on how long you drive in a day, but you could make it there in less than two days if you drove for a long stretch.

I know the mapquest and a bunch of other sites show that the trip is shorter going I-80, but I have made trips to Colorado and Utah a few (too many) times, and I-70 takes less time. That said, it takes about 28 hours to get there, 26 back. I think a group trip would be a good time.

its 28 hours from Moab to Kokomo, going straight through, stopping twice to sit down for food, and for two hours to sleep in a Walmart Parking Lot...

Wow such harsh words. lmao. Next year you all have to just plan ahead and go!!! It was by far my best trip I've ever done. And I do have info on the trails to share with anyone that would like it.
