Might as well make a official build thread to piss Nick off...Here's how the XJ sits right now

XJ specs: 1992, 4.0L, AW4, 231, A/C that works, D30 front, 8.25 rear, Rock-it intake, Tomken tow hooks up front, trimed lower fenders up front, warn D30 diff guard, RE lift shackles

The plans off that:

RE budget boost, 31's most likely an All terrain, fix the rust problems, doorless mod up front, flowmaster 40 muffler, trim the lower rear quarter panels (so it will then fold like a taco) 4.10's, sliders, all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure I find something else.

Now some ask, do you really need a back up wheeler? The truth is..Kari really likes this thing (should of never gave her a key to the beast) Only thing she doesn't like is the steering wheel...says its to big? :cookoo: Anyway its more of a rig for her, its the got the auto which she likes...and its got a good drivetrain set up from the get go. Now Lance says but Alan its your daily drive? Your going to be hurting gas mileage by doing all that...well I won't be driving this daily for long, I have a little over a year of school left...my grad present to myself but also put me in more of debt? How about a WJ or WK if the price is right...either way it will have a v8...catch my drift anyone?

Well enough chat, heres the starter pics:
Flexin them mastercraft A/t's
Image
Image
Image
and to document what I've gotten done
intake:

trimed front fenders

hooks yo

and the girls first skid...

and don't think this is all getting done right away...I'm not that rich Boogers and shit!!

the look on your face today when you came and picked it up was priceless, never seen anyone so happy to buy something that they might just hang on the wall. lol

oh and dont ever just stop by my house before calling, you might catch a 187 fool. lol just kidding Allen you are welcome over anytime, even if it just to BS.

LoL I do love gettin random jeep stuff. its just how I am. and like I said, sorry about just stopping by, our power was out all afternoon and I didn't have your phone number so I figured well I'll drive by and if it looks like someone is there I'll stop. On another note, How do you like your rusty's springs? Looks like baby phat will be sitting on some and it isn't a budget boost  A guy on NAXJA made me a deal I couldn't refuse on a kit that was never installed on an XJ... oops

i like the rusty's i have, they ride a little stiff on the road, but have mad flex on the trail yo. then again i have never ran any other springs so i dont know how to rate them against say BDS springs.

I think I'll pass on that one Alan. The 27 spline 8.25 wouldn't be worth the trouble. It would cost me too much
to make it a 29 spline even with junk yard parts.I think I'am gonna try and find a 44 or a 8.8,probably an 8.8.
For now it's get some spare shafts from my buddy Alan and try not to be to hard on the shity5 :2up:
