so yesterday i took a time out from working on the jeep and gave the chevy some . wanted to go for a clean look this year, so i started taking off all the pinstripe and lettering of the body. took about 10 hours in all, the silver leaf that was on it has been there for at least 7 years. pain in the arse, but looks much cleaner IMO.

not going to do much to her this year, for a momment i was even thinking about selling it and upgrading to a 2003 or newer silvarado SS, but the wife wants a new house and just would not fit in the budget even if i worked 2 jobs. lol

so i will keep her for now, for ever, who knows?
















would still like to remmove the stock side trim also, but that will take a little longer then the sivler did, since its been there for 14 years. lol

Can you see where they used to be, as in from any sunfade around them? I thought about removing the bodyside moldings on my silverado for a cleaner look but I'm afraid off being able to notice a color difference since mine have been on for 11 years

no sunfade, this truck has been waxed 2 times a year and has been kept in a garage for 1/2 its life. lol only thing i have noticed is a little scratching in the clear coat on the hood from the plastic scraper i was using. should be able to get them out after a good waxing.

the problem that we will both have with our trim, is that the 3M tape the factory used has eaten into our clear caot a little and will look like orange peel. we will see, could be wrong, i hope. lol

remove the trim shave the handles od green paint job

i would to shave the door handles, tailgate handle, shave all the trim, weld a steel roll pan in, smoothed wiper cowl, and paint it root brown. its only a dream, but thats how i would do it, maybe some day right?

is your suspension bagged?is that why itsd sitting with so much rake?
Maybe its just the camera angle, but in some pics the rear looks alot higher.
Truck does have a nice clean look.

i only with it was bagged, maybe someday tho. at least get the front with bags under it would be nice.

the resson for the rake, would be thanks to M susp. i bought a 4/5 kit, front 4 inch and rear 5inch, well after a week end of installing it, turned out the front springs must have been a few inches softer. lol i thought it looked ok at the time and left it, then to fill in the whel gap in the back i added 305/40/22 tires and run 275/35/22 in the front, kind of a muscle truck look i guess.

i even took the helper leaf out in the back to help level it, it gave me another 1/2 inch lower. cant go any lower in the back without doing a c-notch and i dont think i am ready to start cutting my baby up. lol

wow, didn't realize those were 22's... thought they were only 20s

yep, they be 22's.

it started out with a set of 20'' knockoff wire wheels

then a set of 5 spoke 20" wheels

next came a set of 22" ners

and now the deep dish 22" i have in the picture.

i would like to at least lift the front up and stuff some 24's, i have this wish list that goes on for days. lol

I am not a fan of the tail lights though. You should used some vht nightshade or red paint to tame them down.

Or take thm apart and paint the insides black or body color.

Just me...

Oh, and the truck looks good. I'm not much of a cheby fan, but its a sharp cheby...
