Two things happened to me recently, one was driving the YJ to the badlands reminded me how much of a butt it can be and two while laying under the cherokee, I started to really look at how much rust the thing has...well I didn't want to fix that Boogers and shit!! I would rather drop the money into my YJ, you know, one ton steering, HP D44 front :hiding: So I got to thinking, how can I fix all this? I thought I will get a tow rig and daily that. Now I wanted a F250 but I didn't know about daily driving that, I test drove some and liked them but they where a little out of my price range for the time being so I choice this guy...

Also looked at some Dodge's but the whole thing about people having problems with the Dodge Auto tranny kinda scared me and they are really hard to find in a manual...

Ya its no Powerstroke but after thinking about it, I'm not pulling the YJ to Moab...Its going 3 hours away from the fort at not more then 5 times a year. if I could even get that amount of time off work to wheel. I figure when I'm ready to start going to moab or places like that, then I'll get my F250 or up with leather and all the goodies. This is my starter truck...

but I'm gonna have to pass on the 24s Boogers and shit!!, its got almost brand new tires on it now and when these wear out if I even still have the truck when they do, I'll probbely put some type of all terrain on it to give it a more aggressive look..Alan's just not gangsta sorry :eyebrows:

moab takes 24 to 30 hours depending on your speed and how much you care about fuel mileage...

my f150 would hold 25 to 30 up the worst passes...and there is only 3 passes on 70 that are rough...

X2 I don't get their pricing either, I was thinking my next truck was gonna be a powerstroke but then thought about the upkeep of having a diesel...so my next truck will be a gas motor also, I'm thinking a F150 King Ranch Edition or I really like the new platinum edition 150's. but if I can find a F250 with a gas motor..I won't turn that away either, just has to have a back seat.

I always liked Fords til' I got my first GM. My 91' 3/4 ton 4x4 gasser was a workhorse from hell. I never wanted for more with it. I am just getting settled on my new to me 01' gmc 3/4 ton ext cab 4x4 gasser. I love it so far and it was cheap...

I just hauled 3500 lbs of dirt in the bed today. I never really felt it. Awesome! Still had the baby seat in the back. :)
