I have been working on this CJ-6 project for a few weeks. It seems to be going well. I am building a simple and reliable rock crawler. 1967 CJ-6. I had a 1978 CJ-7 with good drive train that I am swapping to the 1967 CJ-6. I bought a 1975 CJ-6 frame from FN-JEEP. I cut up the original 1967 frame to box in the new one. It worked great!. The new frame is also the correct length to use the newer CJ7 hood. The motor is a Ford 351W, Trans a NP 435, and the transfer case is a NP-205. DANA 60's front and rear. Spring over leaf spring suspension. If anyone has suggestions or experience with this build please feel free to comment. I don't have a garage so I am doing this outside...in Colorado.

Nice to see another CJ6.
I use to have a '75 CJ6, had a blown engine, swapped the drivetrain with one from an '81CJ7, patched the floor. I then sold it to my dad, who has since sold it to Chuck. Chuck has a build thread in the Fab forum on here.

Holy huge pictures :-) Nice looking CJ6, looks like a buggy style (i'm getting ready to beat mine on the trail) It's ALMOST done and by that i mean it'll be done in 3 years :-D

I hope it'll move under it's own power within 6 months...we'll see
