yes. You will probably have to buy/fab new motor mounts. And being a CJ5 with the short wheelbase, you'll want to pay attention to your overall drivetrain lenth, so that you can have room for a rear drive shaft.

damn!! I'd be happy with a 2 foot driveshaft. My cv shaft in the TJ is only 16.5". Anything is possible with the right skills.

If you have an AMC 360 and a CJ that originally had an AMC 304, the motor mounts are the same. The external dimensions of the blocks are identical.
If you're asking about a putting a Chrysler 360 in a CJ, that's a whole different proposition and you'll be fabing everything.
As far as the rest of the drivetrain, anything that fit behind the 304 will fit behind the AMC 360.

That would be Chrysler/Dodge. Try these from Novak....

getting a trans/T-case combo that will bolt to the 360 and fit in a CJ5 is the next hurdle. :?

what auto tranny do you have? The shortest Chrysler tranny that I can think of that could hold up to a 360 would probably be the TF777, if that was mated to a short tcase (dana300 maybe), and you mounted the whole powertrain as for forward and you can, you may be alright as long as you don't have a really tall lift.
A 604 may work, I think its a little bit shorter than the 777, Jeep used them for thier automatics that weren't equiped with the quadratrac tcase, But I'm not really sure if it will hold the power of the modern 360 engine.
I'm pretty certain the the newer Chrysler 4 speed autos will be too long, the A518 (46RH), 47RH or 47RE
