Sounds like you have an air pocket in the system.

Start it up and let it warm up with the radiator cap off. It will burp and you will lose a little antifreeze, but that should get your air bubbles out.

If you do that, open it up with a really big towel so you don't get scalded by the inevidable steam and gushing fluid that will come out!

Let me rephrase that....pull that radiator cap off when engine is cold, then let it warm up.

So cuddling with it doesn't do the trick?

The wifes hairdryer should do the trick, if not, start a campfire under the oil pan. That'll warm er up nice and good.

Awesome! I'm glad that did the trick. Did you un-bypass the heater core?

I did un-bypass the heater core, i'm getting heat, but the temp gauge isnt going up, so the sensor must be bad now, but no over heating, runs pretty strong now, still got some bugs to work out with the brake calipers, but drive her 40 min to work every day without a problem.
