A friend of mine who is storing my YJ had me go with to look at a Jeep. . . 1962 SWB, 4Cyl flattie, hand throttle on dash, 3 speed trans, twin stick transfer case, draw bar hitch. metal hard top and doors. It has a emblem on the grill in the upper center of a fox. It has the tiny lights on the grill that look like a smaller version of something Madonna would have wore for a bra. It has something sticking up on the cowl that looks like some kind of lid that comes off and it goes halfway across the cowl. Does any one have an idea of what this is?

Oh yea he bought it for 4 grand with a trailer to haul it on and a bunch of spare parts, drove it home from Columbia City to Roanoke wound out at 40 mph. Here is the kicker it has 37690 miles on it.

He has several CJ2A's that he bought to make on good one, that will be going up for sale soon. . . .

I was going to guess a CJ3A until you told me about the lid on the cowl. That is a Battery box lid. It's an M38... Any pics? They would definately help in ID'ng, but it definately sounds like an M38. :tu2:

definately sounds like an M38 with the battery box in the cowl. The funny lights on the front are probably anti-aircraft lights.
